Haikara (Nesting)

Nesting follows Veikka, a twenty-year-old boy about to quit his job at a construction site to start a new life in the big city. Veikka expects the goodbyes to go smoothly, but then something strange happens: they find a baby in the crane.

The film was selected to Clermont Ferrand International Competition 2021. Since its debut at the prestigious French festival, Nesting has competed in festivals such as Tehran International Short Film Festival, Film Festival Cottbus, Helsinki Film Festival, Psarokokalo International Film Festival, Arizona Film Festival, Prague Film Awards among others. Nesting recieved the Jussi Award nomination (Finnish Academy Award) for Best Short Film.
